Job Title: Painting Prepper (Entry-Level)

Reports To: Lead Painter or Crew Leader

Position Overview: Join our team as an entry-level Painting Prepper and embark on a path to become a skilled painter. This role is perfect for individuals with 0-3 years of experience, offering on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement. Our preppers are integral to our operations, preparing surfaces and learning various painting techniques under the guidance of experienced painters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation: Ready surfaces for painting through cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming to ensure optimal paint application.
  • Assist in Painting: Support painting tasks under supervision, learning various techniques and tools for a high-quality finish.
  • Setup and Cleanup: Manage painting equipment and materials setup before jobs and perform clean-up duties after job completion.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside other staff under the direction of the Lead Painter or Crew Leader, contributing to team efforts.
  • Learn and Grow: Participate in training sessions to develop skills and move towards becoming a full painter.

Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years of experience in a related field; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of painting tools and techniques preferred.
  • Commitment to safety and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including working at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation to various job sites within the region.
